Pacific Footings is the exclusice distributor of Surefoot products in Fiji and South Pacific Islands.
The Surefoot concrete free footing system is an “all in one system”, where a unique shape and high-strength steel combine to create an efficient pile cap. Once the piles have been driven, and the cap has been secured, the opposing forces of the multi-directional piles provide a stable, robust and economical footing.
The Surefoot system is designed to increase efficiency when resisting uplift, gravity, shear and moment loads. The soil structure ultimately absorbs the applied stress. This footing system is job specific, meaning it will be designed according to your particular site soil conditions, structural design loads etc.
The Surefoot footing system cannot be labelled as either a shallow or deep footing and therefore belongs to a new “hybrid” category of footing.
To offer a better, faster and easier screw pile alternative through an innovative, environmentally friendly footing system.
To become the best alternative in footing across the Pacific Islands.
HOW IT WORKS
Nicknamed the ”metal tree stump”, Surefoot can be best described when compared to the root system of a tree. Surefoot spreads a footing over a greater surface area, achieving larger load capacities more quickly and cost-effectively. Surefoot footings are installed by driving steel tubular piles into the ground using a simple jackhammer and attachment tool which can be purchased at all major tool outlets.
The engineering principles of Surefoot are based on piling technology using a combination of skin friction and bearing. Because it’s a non-displacement pile, the system can be used in any penetrable soil-sands, silts, clays, small gravels and even rock as well as all wind categories. Installation times range from 10 minutes to 30 minutes, depending on which size Surefoot pile cap you use. Adjustable in plumb and level after your footing is installed, Surefoot has instant bearing capacity in every direction so your works can continue that same day.
Surefoot footings keep evolving to take advantage of additional means of withstanding loads. Analysis of such technologies needs to be developed as well to comprehend their advantages and applications. Our system is engineered with load capacities up to 360kN (36 tonnes) and can handle large bending moment loads which means that it can be used for just about any application.
